  • A Taste of the Vineyard Gourmet Stroll

    When: Jun 12, 2014. Location: Edgartown

    The Island's finest restaurants, caterers and beverage purveyors can all be found in the same place at the same time for this one night only. This is your chance to sample the Vineyard's best food, wine and hand-crafted beers as you catch up with old friends after a long, cold winter. After you've been sated with a "Taste" from more than 70 outstanding fine food and beverage participants, you can dance off all those calories to live music.

  • Oak Bluffs Harbor Festival

    When: Jun 21, 2014.

    Over 40 vendors from near and far, including many of the Vineyard favorites plan to return for one of the Island’s most popular events. Live music, local artists, craftsmen and antique dealers, as well as non-profit organizations offering a tempting array of baked goods, raffles and information about their causes, will be on hand.   Noon to 5:00 p.m. For more information call 508-693-3392.

  • Fourth of July Parade and Fireworks

    When: Jul 4, 2014. Location: Edgartown

    Cap off a fun-filled star-spangled banner day by watching a spectacular fireworks celebration with family and friends along Edgartown Harbor.  This years' celebration will be one of the best.  So put on your red, white and blue and wish America a happy birthday!

  • Vineyard Cup Regatta

    When: Jul 11 to Jul 13, 2014.

    Sail Martha’s Vineyard is expecting over 100 sailboats of all descriptions, designs and ages from schooners to catboats to modern design racers. Based out of Vineyard Haven harbor on Martha’s Vineyard Island, the race courses have been designed to both test the skills of the skippers and crews and to provide great shore-side viewing of boats on the racecourse from a variety of Island perspectives from the East an West Chop Lighthouses to Eastville Beach to State Beach between Edgartown and Oak Bluffs to the beach at the entrance of Lake Tashmoo.

  • Grand Illumination

    When: Aug 20, 2014.

    One very special highlight of the summer season on the Campground is Grand Illumination. The cottages are adorned with colorful Chinese and Japanese lanterns, and both a Community Sing and a band concert are held in the Tabernacle.   Grand Illumination started in Oak Bluffs over a century ago and was initially intended as a way of marking the visit of the Governor of Massachusetts.

  • Annual Agricultural Society Fair

    When: Aug 21 to Aug 24, 2014.

    The Martha's Vineyard Agricultural Society was established in 1859. It promotes the pursuit of agriculture, horticulture, land conservation, youth activities, mechanic and domestic arts and encourages the raising and improving of plant and animal stock and the sale of island-grown produce and flowers at local farmers' markets.

    The Society, which has over 1000 year-round and seasonal members, is perhaps best known for its annual Agricultural Fair, which attracts thousands of islanders and visitors each summer.

  • Fireworks at Ocean Park by the Sea

    When: Aug 22, 2014.

    A sensational display at dark! This is a fun night to spend out with family and friends. Music by the Vineyard Haven Band in the gazebo begins at 8 pm, fireworks at dark! It is truly one of the best events of the summer. Admission is free.

  • Martha's Vineyard International Film Festival

    When: Sep 4 to Sep 7, 2014. Location: Martha's Vineyard

    Combining the laidback beach style of the island of Martha’s Vineyard with the buzz and excitement of a festival celebrating films from across the globe - The Martha’s Vineyard International Film Festival is an amazing experience not to be missed.

    Four days filled with the best feature and short films from top-notch festivals such as Sundance, Berlin and Cannes (with a few undiscovered gems thrown in!), great evening events, provocative forums and live world music - all within the ‘Walking Festival District’. And don’t forget – Martha’s Vineyard has some of the most beautiful beaches in America.

  • Annual Tivoli Day Festival

    When: Sep 13, 2014.

    An annual celebration of summer’s end on Circuit Avenue featuring: live music, arts, crafts great food and family fun. This event will be held from 9 am until 6 pm all along Circuit Ave., which will be closed to traffic. Live music throughout the day.

  • Nantucket Daffodil Festival

    When: Apr 25 to Apr 27, 2014. Location: Nantucket

    A Three Million Daffodil Celebration: April’s gentle sea breezes and warming sunshine coax new growth from the island’s sandy soil, adorning roadsides and gardens with an astonishing variety of daffodils. Come wear your daffy hat, watch the car parade, have a tailgate picnic and welcome spring.

  • Nantucket Wine Festival

    When: May 14 to May 18, 2014. Location: Nantucket

    Over the past 17 years the Nantucket Wine Festival has blossomed into one of the nation's most celebrated wine and food events. Over 30 tastemakers have come together to celebrate their specialties from exquisite wines to delectable hors d’oeuvres. Come sip, savor and experience a spectacular food and wine event on Nantucket.

  • Figawi Charity Ball

    When: May 17 to May 17, 2014. Location: Hyannis, Cape Cod

    The Figawi Charity Ball will be held at Hyannis Resort and Conference Center at Hyannis, from 7:00 pm to Midnight. The evening includes culinary delights, live music, silent auction and a charity casino. Ages: 21+.




  • Figawi Race Weekend

    When: May 24 to May 26, 2014. Location: Nantucket

    The Annual Figawi Race Weekend is recognized as a top sailing event not only on the East Coast but is known nationally as well as internationally. Figawi Race Weekend kicks off the Cape Cod and Nantucket summer season. Entries include sailors from several states 240+ boats (including 30 power boats.) Over 3,000 sailors and visitors, as well as locals, attend this event.

  • Sam Sylvia Pro-Am Golf Tournament

    When: Jun 7 to Jun 8, 2014.

    In addition to a blind draw that will create amateur teams, participants will be allowed to form their own three-man teams, and play with a professional from the NEPGA. 

    This special weekend event will kick off with our pairings cocktail party, where both a live and silent auction will take place. The golf tournament will be held Sunday morning at Sankaty Head Golf Club, followed by an awards luncheon.

    One of the premiere destination film festivals in the world, visitors come from all over to experience our preview screenings, signature programs, and stand out hospitality on a magical island rich with history, a friendly atmosphere, and beautiful sandy beaches.

  • Fourth of July Fireworks

    When: Jul 4 to Jul 4, 2014. Location: Nantucket

    Jetties beach is the best place in Nantucket to view fireworks and celebrate the Independence Day. Each year, families and friends set up on the beach at Jetties beach and marvel at the spectacular fireworks show, over the harbor. The amazing firework display is very popular and draws quite a crowd. Leading up to the fireworks at night, there are many activities to take part in throughout the day. A fun, annual event is the 4th of July parade through Main St. This family oriented event is highlighted by a water fight featuring local fire trucks, supplying lots of water.

  • Nantucket Triathlon

    When: Jul 19 to Jul 20, 2014. Location: Nantucket

    The Steamship Authority is proud to be the official transportation sponsor of this USAT sanctioned event. Register to compete or cheer on your favorite athlete as they  swim in the waters of Nantucket Sound, and then bike and run on the beautiful island of Nantucket. Part of all proceeds benefit The Town of Nantucket Scholarship Fund.

  • Nantucket Race Week

    When: Aug 9 to Aug 17, 2014. Location: Nantucket

    Nantucket Race Week ibrings together the entire Nantucket community together in a fun-filled week of regattas, awards ceremonies, and parties. The races provide sport for everyone from young sailors in Optimists and 420s, families in their Nantucket one designs, owners of classic wooden sailboats, to grand prix racers at the top of their profession.

  • Opera House Cup Regatta

    When: Aug 17 to Aug 17, 2014. Location: Nantucket

    The Opera House Cup Regatta is a cherished tradition, held on the third Sunday of August on Nantucket. The Opera House Cup Regatta was the first all-wooden, single-hulled classic boat regatta on the East Coast, and it attracts some of the finest sailboats in the country.   

  • Nantucket Fall Restaurant Week

  • Nantucket Christmas Stroll

    When: Dec 5 to Dec 7, 2014. Location: Nantucket Main Street

    NT Stroll

    Santa and Mrs. Claus arrive on Saturday via Coast Guard vessel and are escorted up Straight Wharf by the town crier to a waiting horse and carriage. They parade up Main Street and across Centre Street to the historic Jared Coffin House where they meet with eagerly awaiting children. Children of all ages are entertained by the Magical Talking Tree at the top of Main Street, while carolers in period costume, bell ringers, student choirs and more also perform on Main Street. Holiday craft shows, exhibitions and performances – including the popular annual Christmas House tour on Friday evening – add to the joyful festivities.
